Living at Gersthofen

Perfect Work-Life Balance

In our town its 21,000 inhabitants are provided with various possibilities to recover in the surroundings. Gersthofen and its four parts of town profit from its specific geographic location. Framed  between the river Lech and the greenbelt and recreation area “Westliche Wälder” (Western Forests) the inhabitants can fully and conscientiously enjoy their lives.

For working parents

the town offers particularly attractive assistance for children. Day nurseries including English speaking groups and after-school care facilities help the parents to bridge the gap between family life and professional challenges.

Gersthofen offers three primary schools (Grundschulen), a secondary modern school (Mittelschule), a grammar school (Gymnasium), a special school for mentally or physically handicapped children (Sonderpädagogisches Förderzentrum) and an international school (ISA – International School Augsburg).
